A "PIONEER" IN PLASTIC

History

In the Plastics Industry, Corrado Giacona II is considered “The Graduate”. He is a pioneer in plastic drinkware designs and printing. During the 1960’s, his company manufactured tin cans and revolutionized the idea of direct high speed, dry, off-set printing on metal cans. In the 1970’s, he designed the Giacona line of souvenir plastic drinkware, printed with multiple screens and tones of blended colors. 

Mr. Giacona recognized plastics were the future and decided to seize the opportunity by transforming his business and changing focus. He has been able to maintain many of his older customers by designing “Signature Drinkware”  for signature drinks.

It's A Family Thing!

Corrado Giacona II took over the business from his father, Louis Giacona. The company has been in continuous operation since 1923 when the focus was on packaging using: cans, glass jars and corrugated boxes.

Continuing on the family tradition with Corrado Giacona II (President), is his son Louis Giacona II (Executive Vice President) and daughter Gina Giacona (Vice President of Sales). Patricia Giacona, the wife of Corrado Giacona II, serves as Secretary / Treasurer of the Corporation.

WHAT WE DO

Giacona Container Corporation supplies national and international customers that range from bars and nightclubs to seafood companies, delis, convenience stores, movie theaters, zoos, amusement parks, museums, stadiums, arenas, events and promotions. Based in New Orleans, Giacona is able to keep up with the ever changing trends in the food and beverage industry. 

Best known locally for the impact Giacona has had on Mardi Gras, creating the famous Mardi Gras “Throw Cups™”, which reproduce the graphic theme of parades, photos of royalty, and even posters. Innovation, consistency, high quality and customer satisfaction are behind the success of Giacona, a company that is not afraid to try new things or push the envelope. Along with the cups, deli tubs and containers, Giacona has also become known for their custom designed specialty drinkware (many sizes and shapes), lasos and lanyards, drink accessories, sipper bottles, insulated drinkware, light up barware and much more!

OUR RETAIL DIVISION

A new addition to the company, Party Cup Express, is a retail division specializing in small quantity coordinated and customized party cups, napkins, barware and light up drinkware. Pre-printed designs are available for a wide variety of celebrations such as birthdays, weddings, graduation, tailgating, in addition to officially licensed party items for LSU, Saints, and other teams. (www.PartyCupExpress.com)
