GIACONA CORPORATION - COMPANY HISTORY
Creative Packaging Experts Since 1923
A "Pioneer" in Plastics
In the Plastics Industry, they call Corrado Giacona II "The Graduate." He is a pioneer in plastic designs and printing. Starting out, his company manufactured tin cans and revolutionized the idea of high speed, dry, off-set printing on metal cans and then on his own designed line of souvenir plastic drinkcups.

Mr. Giacona recognized plastics were the future and decided to seize the opportunity by transforming his business and changing focus. He has been able to maintain many of his older customers by showing them the possibilities that plastics offered their business. Giacona now holds customers that range from bars and nightclubs to seafood companies and delis, convenience stores, movie theaters, zoos, amusement parks, museums, stadiums, arenas, national and international events and promotions.

Based in New Orleans, the city that never sleeps, Giacona is able to keep up with the ever changing trends in the food and beverage industry. Best known locally for the impact Giacona has had on Mardi Gras, creating the famous Mardi Gras "throw cups." Giacona has also developed a client list that includes numerous large scale and successful beverage and liquor companies, restaurants and bars, promotional companies, and amusement parks and zoos.

Innovation, consistency, high quality, and customer satisfaction are behind the success of Giacona, a company that is not afraid to try new things or push the envelope. Along with the cups and deli tubs and containers, Giacona has also become known for their sculptured drinkware (many sizes and shapes), lasos and lanyards, drink accessories, sipper bottles, insulated drinkware, and the hot new "Lite Cubes."

It's a Family Thing!
Corrado Giacona II took over the business from his father, Louis Giacona. The company has been in continuous operation since 1923 when the focus was on packaging using tin, glass, and boxes. Still focusing on packaging, Corrado turned to plastics. He has a passion about plastics and promotional products, which is evident after a brief meeting with the New Orleans native. He has a knack for recognizing a good idea and expanding on it using a variety of accessories to expand an experience.

Maintaining the position of the president of Giacona Corporation, Corrado II is joined by his daughter, Gina Giacona Lynch, Vice President. All artwork and design for Giacona Corporation is supplied by his son Louis Giacona’s full service advertising agency, Louis Giacona Advertising, LLC.home.html
